Good Samaritan Or Idiot Driver?

Ok, you know what makes me sick? I love saying that. But, seriously, we have rules to follow on the road for a reason. Going around breaking the rules thinking you’re some kind of good Samaritan is still breaking the rules.

I just watched an accident happen and as far as I’m concerned it was the so called ‘good Samaritan‘s fault. Here’s what happened:

Someone was coming out of a parking lot onto a five lane road (two lanes going in each direction and a turning lane). The car was waiting for traffic to clear and some idiot decides to be nice and completely stops traffic in his lane to let the car come out and cross into the other lane. The idiot good Samaritan doesn’t control that lane and since he just blocked everyone’s view the car coming out of the parking lot was t-boned.

My feelings? Any guesses? Just because he had good intentions doesn’t help the fact that he caused the accident. Guess what the idiot driver did next? He drove around the accident and went on his way.

As a truck driver with over twenty years of driving experience and over a million accident free miles, please please please, if you have the right away gets your ass moving. Being nice on the road violates a system designed to protect everyone. If you need to feel good about your insecure self then go to Church or donate to the needy, just let someone else drive.

Now That’s A Big Rumor! Facebook IS NOT Charging Members

Hundreds of thousands of people can’t be wrong… Right? Wrong! At least according to Snopes regarding the latest internet hoax that Facebook will begin charging membership fees this year.

It’s amazing how many people latch onto every internet rumor and hoax and take a stand against something that’s not true yet crawl up into the fetal position when it comes to real life issues like unemployment, bank bailouts and a failing economy. Where’s the outrage there? Global warming? How about child abduction and slavery, is that too boring? Is the fact that a communist country is positioned to be the next super power ok with everyone? (For the slow ones I’m referring to China) God forbid Facebook charges a monthly fee for a service like it was a business or something, we wont stand for that.

Now, with that cleared up, I think Facebook would be crazy not to offer some type of paid upgrade or ‘pro‘ membership like Flickr and many other sites do. Even though people are beating their chests right now over a silly rumor, when it comes down to it thousands will be open to paying for special treatment or an upgraded version of the free service. I wonder how many members that protest group will get? That’s Right, I Said It! Now do your part and voice your opinion below.

Uptight Self Righteous Know-It-Alls Can’t Be Trusted!

Earlier today I ran across this update on a Facebook friend’s profile:

“Reality check: PEOPLE WHO GAMBLE FOR MONEY ARE POTENTIAL CHEATERS BECAUSE THEY ARE TRYING TO GET SOMETHINGFOR NOTHING.“

My response then:
Wow, with all due respect, that’s a pretty shallow statement. So if I bought squares on the game tonight I can’t be trusted?

My response now:
I just won two out of the four quarters in the Superbowl game @ $125 each! No cash exchanges hands because it goes to Haiti but a win is a win, gambling is gambling, right?

The problem with uptight Know-It-Alls?
They don’t know how stupid they sound with that self righteous greater than thou bullshit.
